The Purpose: To cut out stress and enjoy a more meaningful and joyful celebration of Christ's birth!
The Plan of Action:
Every week for the next five weeks I will be covering a different aspect of Holiday preparations here on the blog. We'll consider the biggest conundrums we face and how to conquer them.
Each day I will give you an "assignment" that will help ease you into getting Christmas done early. Most assignments should take no more than 15 minutes a day.
Voila! By investing on average only 15 minutes every week day for the next month and change, you will be prepared and on your way to enjoying your least stressful holidays yet!
Here's the agenda:
Week One- Gifts
Week Two- Cards
Week Three- Food
Week Four- Schedules
Week Five- Tying Up Loose Ends
Is there anything in particular you'd like for me to cover?
I will also be posting and sharing links to other helpful blog posts on topic. I am super excited to get this holiday ball rolling, as by nature I tend to be one of those wait 'til the last minute and become a lunatic types ;).
Today's Assignment: Are you ready to get started? Your job for today is to set a timer for 15 minutes, sit down, and make a list of everyone you need/plan to gift this Christmas. This ranges from immediate family members (whom you might be getting substantial gifts for). to neighbors and co-workers (whom you might just give a plate of cookies). If you plan to do anything for them, put them on the list!
Bonus: If your timer still has a few minutes left and you've finished your list of people, start brainstorming what you'd like to give them, jotting your ideas down.
When you're prepared in advance, you will be able to just relax, and enjoy celebrating Christ's birth, time with loved ones, and all of the delightful festivities that come along with this most wonderful time of year! I'm looking forward to a Christmas season of less stress and more blessing this year. Who's with me?
