I'm delighted to introduce you to Read the Bible to Your Kids: A Year of Simple Plans to get Into the Word Together.
If you long to make God's Word central in your home but just don't know where to start, this is for you. If you feel frustrated by the inadequacies of Bible story books and want to get into the meat of the actual Bible with your little ones, this is for you. If you're tired and overwhelmed, but earnestly desire to plant spiritual seeds in the hearts of your children, this resource is for you!
I am right here with you. For years I've felt like Bible story books, while good in some ways, just aren't quite cutting it. I've wanted to impart the deep things of God to my children, but felt overwhelmed by my list of responsibilities and my own limitations.
This is the tool I wish someone had handed me. Thirteen one-month long plans, with short passages of Scripture {for short attention spans}. Each plan focuses on one topic and features texts from both the Old and New Testaments, to give our kids a beginning familiarity with Scripture as a whole.
I've spent the last year reading through these plans with my 3 and 5 year old. The conversations we have had as a result have been a great source of joy and encouragement to my heart. Reading the Bible aloud has been my main opportunity to evangelize, instruct, and build up my kids.
Here's a sneak peek at the Table of Contents:

Eleven of the plans have already been featured as free printables here on the blog. I've edited them all for the book (some more heavily than others), and added two completely new plans. The old, unedited versions will still remain free. This is just a heavily edited, convenient and all-in-one-place file that I think will serve you better.
