Making Over My Evenings {Day 2}

I'm working my way through Crystal Paine's new course, Makeover Your Evenings- 14 days of videos, reading, and projects designed to bring more order, rest, and productivity into your life. If you'd like to grab the course and work through it right along with me, you can do so here. Each weekday night I'll be posting my takeaway from the day's coursework. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it and how you are making over your own evenings!

Day 2 of Make Over Your Evenings is all about visualizing what your ideal evening would look like. While we may not be able to enjoy our ideal evening every night- let's be realistic folks!- knowing the direction we'd like to be heading helps us to take the first steps closer to it.

Here's my ideal evening:

6 p.m: Finish dinner and family worship. Get the kids ready for bed, clean the kitchen, tidy the house.

7 p.m: Tuck the kids in for the night. Plan for the next day- breakfast, clothes out, to do list made. Get             ready for bed- pajamas on, face washed, teeth brushed.

8 p.m: Spend a little time blogging and doing other online work; or finish any pressing housework                  that hasn't yet been done.

9 p.m: Relax and unwind. Hang out with Niall, watch a show, read a book, etc. Enjoy it with a cup of            herbal or other decaf tea.

10 p.m: In bed, lights out.

Of course I already knew these things before... but somehow writing them down gives them a bit more weight. If I can only follow this map each night, I think I'd be a much happier camper in general.

What would your ideal evening look like?
